The Northern Nevada Literacy Council offers a Family Reading Program that works with children and their parents to improve literacy and model good family literacy behaviors for the home.

Northern Nevada Literacy Council: Class Workshop (K – 3)

Description:

  • Families are invited to the school to read with their students during after school programs
  • Families learn techniques to improve their child’s reading while doing fun family activities
  • Everyone takes home a free new book
  • This program is for parents and children K through third grade, but older children are welcome to attend
