Thanks to our dedicated Board of Directors, Washoe County School District, our amazing volunteers and generous sponsors, $1,981,000 has been raised to support student health and wellness!
From 2008 to 2019, the Run for Education was hosted by the Education Alliance Board in collaboration with the Washoe County School District and educators, volunteers, business representatives, community and government leaders. This event raised funding for our Kids in Motion program with 100% of sponsorship dollars DIRECTLY impacting students and schools through the Education Alliance and focusing on physical and academic fitness in Washoe County. Funding for student health and wellness is still a top need per our WCSD school principals and our Caring for Classrooms initiative addresses this need across 100+ schools.
