Thanks to our dedicated Board of Directors, Washoe County School District, our amazing volunteers and generous sponsors, 2018 was another wildly successful Run for Education!

The Run for Education is hosted by the Education Alliance Board in collaboration with the Washoe County School District and educators, volunteers, business representatives, community and government leaders. This annual event raises funding for our Kids in Motion program with 100% of sponsorship dollars DIRECTLY impacting students and schools through the Education Alliance and focusing on physical and academic fitness in Washoe County.  Located in front of SCHEELS at the Outlets at Legends, participate in the timed 4K race, the Sparks Marina March, an untimed walk/run around the Marina, or the Fun Run for little runners. In addition to the running events, the Fitness Fair has activity-themed stations, such as bike rodeo, soccer, climbing, golf, archery, gymnastics, and more.
